Our next book is a work of fiction called, Out of the Silent Planet by C.S. Lewis. This is the first book of Lewis’s Space Trilogy. It plunges the depths of human nature and morality. It was written when Lewis and his good friend, J.R.R. Tolkien were lamenting about the lack of good science fiction. Tolkien was supposed to write a time-traveling novel and Lewis a space-traveling novel. Tolkien never finished his, but Lewis competed a trilogy which is a masterful work of art.
